This is the CSE coke closet. It used to be the ACM coke closet, but they withdrew funding after a large deficit for several quarters. Following their announcement, a group of students came together to revive the coke closet. A temporary solution was put in place, and the coke closet reopened.

It currently belongs to the students, specifically, to the 25 or so shareholders. Based on the success this year, the temporary solution could become permanent.

And, wow, this is the biggest pile of food I've ever seen in there. They even brought fruits, at $0.25 each. This week and next week are busy, since people are studying for finals. The pile is expected to disappear.

June 1, 2010 Disaster strikes

The crash was so loud. It sounded like a tree had fallen on our house. My closet shelf collapsed while I was sleeping. It freaked me out. I thought my room looked bad before. Well, it looks worse now. There is still a path from the door to my bed. So, that is good. Maybe I can get fancy new shelves. There are nice holes in my wall now...I get a headache just looking at my room.

Recording

I wanted to make a recording of what the circuit on my board from a while ago does. So I went into the lab today (there were people there), moved to the back tables where cool people (upper-divisions) hang out - there wasn't anybody there, pulled out my camera and tripod, got these papers from the back to cover the stains on the table, and recorded.

This was after my meetings, and before the verdict.

May 31, 2010 GIANT RICE COOKER

I do not know the purpose of this thing. I only know that it is possibly the most beautiful object I have ever captured in my retina.

Maybe it's a giant pinata! Or a swimming pool! A panda robot head?? Yoda ears...
