April 26, 2010 Running gels
So, this is kind of cheating because I had to do this gel for my lab work. I ran two gels today. They were the same except I had to add more SYBR gold to make this one fluoresce better. Basically, today I was checking to see which genes exist in the oyster genome. Some bands are pretty faint, and one gene is probably completely absent. Now, I have plenty of genes to choose from for my project. Exciting.
