September 30, 2010 Lunch and Learn
Not gonna lie, free lunch was a major reason for my coming here. We had Togo's sandwiches and salads. Very tasty. I should go to Togo's more often; they are just around the corner.
I attended this lecture about how pharmaceutical companies can work with developing countries and how offering drugs at a low price can still be profitable for investors. It is an interesting idea. This company has been able to put it into practice. I find the conceptualization of medicine as a business so curious. It is hard for me to think that you can only live for as long as you can afford treatment. But c'est la vie. Pretty much everything is a business - education, for example...
