September 30 | Bethlen Gábor Street
I have the privilege of uploading when both you and I are on the same day, the 30th of September. Today is special for a variety of reasons.
- Today is the first day of classes at UW. Classes started about 5 hours ago. Though, I think most people didn't start until 3 or 2 hours ago.
- Today is exactly three months that we know each other. To our mutual gratification, neither of us remembers the day very well.
- This is post #100! Fifty days ago we planned and took the first picture for this blog. (Actually, it will be exactly 50 days today at 2:59pm.) Incidentally, the ice cream stand today cut the price per scoop from 100 forints to 50 forints. That's about $0.25 per scoop! To be fair, the Hungarian scoop is about half of an America scoop. Still...
When you return after 2pm, let you be so happy as planned, and more! And there be much rejoicing, whereupon to the two of us!
"neither of us remembers the day very well."
ReplyDeletethat's a lie. I remember it. You had the chicken teriyaki bowl thingy at Sushi Aoi because you don't like raw fish. You sat across from me.
Oh good. I'm glad you got 100. I wanted to do a special one, but it has been a most painful two weeks.
Also, ice cream store! How did you know? I love pictures of ice cream displays!
Happy 30th! I'm personally excited for the new month (of horror and midterms and MCAT prep). One month closer to home.
I remember that too. And Kevin taught me some sushi names. But we don't remember first impressions - was that the consensus?
ReplyDeleteReally? In that case, if I go back to Pécs, I just have to bring you back a picture of the ice cream stands there. They were awesome.
Happy 30th to you too. My next month will be full of weekend travels and weekday homeworks. This quarter I am registered for 7 classes, more than I would have ever imagined at UW.
