Matreshki

November 6 | Some shop in central Budapest

I tried unsuccessfully to get new shoes today. Meanwhile, I stopped at a gift shop. These gift shops often mix Hungarian and Russian crafts, one store went as far as have boxes depicting Saint Basil's Cathedral with the inscription "Москва" (Moscow).

There's an interesting Matreshka combination. Russian names are in Russian. From left to right: Gorbachev, Castro, Berlusconi, Merkel, Bush, Saddam Hussein, Che, Stalin, Castro, Obama, Saddam, Bin Laden, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Stalin, Medvedev, Medvedev.

  1. That's pretty cool/strange. And interesting choice of people to use...
