March 24, 2010 Monitoring mussels under stress
So, today in lab, we stressed out some mussels by depriving them of oxygen and by changing the salinity of the water. Yeah...biologists are a little sadistic...all in the name of science! And while they were being stressed, we were monitoring their hearts with super-glued infrared sensor things. We'll get the results sometime soon, so that we can write another long lab report. *sigh*
