March 30, 2010 Molecular lab on the third floor
Here is the fun lab where we did RNA extractions, reverse transcription assays, PCR, and gels. Today, we were playing around with phosphate and the absorbance spectrum.
Our current lab is on tidepools. We've been playing with tidepools since yesterday morning. As the tide level changes, we have been going out to sample the water for salinity, pH, oxygen, temperature, and phosphate levels. I'm not really sure why. Actually, I'm not really sure what has been going on since yesterday...
