September 3 | Pécs
This is the Pécs city wall on the East. The wall is non-existent for half of its span, but it's clear where the wall should be from the way the roads run around here. The wall probably once circled the city of Pécs, and now it separates the Pécs city center from the rest of the city.
To me, Pécs exists inside the wall. Inside the wall are lots of museums, galleries, churches, mosques, schools, a synagogue, plenty of restaurants, bars, ice cream stands and bakeries (there's a Latvian bakery here, whatever that means); here also is the hostel where I am staying along with 3 other people from BSM. Everything that I need is here.
Except the view. I'm climbing a hill tomorrow.
You will climb the hill, except not at sunrise?
ReplyDeleteWow, Latvia is a bit far from Pecs. But then again, Asian is a bit far from Hungary, and that didn't stop people from opening a non-Asian operated Asian store.
