June 14, 2010 Chocolate covered strawberries
My dad bought strawberries. The problem with strawberries here (versus LA) and especially during the non-peak of the season is that they are quite sour. I really dislike sour fruit. I used to love strawberries, but I don't know why. Anyway, so, no one really eats strawberries in our house, and a third or fourth of the carton tends to go bad. Therefore, I covered them in chocolate, a mix of dark and milk, because we have a surplus of chocolate chips and a surplus of strawberries. "Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down in the most delightful way." Well, strawberries aren't really medicine.
The English Mary Poppins was a pain to watch. The songs were stuck in my head for days... Don't remind me.
