Cars were bumper-to-bumper along the whole distance of Simonds Rd (2.6 miles). It was incredible. I have never seen this. Not even when we lost power in 2006 for 3 days. To make matters worse, there is a special right-turn rule at one end of the road (no turns on red from 4-7) and pretty much everyone has to turn right; so, there usually already is a tiny bit of a back-up but only near the light which is not this one. Also, the high school which is at this intersection had yearbook distribution, so seniors were leaving from there, too.
