Like I said, today we went on a 18-mile hike. This is 5.5 miles in (out of 9 miles total), past the Olallie Meadows and almost into the forest again. The Meadows were nice, but nothing compared to the Washington Meadows of the North Cascades or Grand Park of Mt. Rainier.
The trail went in a forest briefly, then up the ski slope clearing, then back in the forest, then through these meadows, then here, then back into the forest again, and finally to the lake. We're all tired. I hope your last day went well.
Not sure why I like this picture. Notice how dark the lake is? That's what happens when I turn wind my polarizer filter up to maximum. It's unrealistic. Maybe that's why.
