Waterfall

July 4, 2010 | Trail to Rachel Lake

Instead of picnicking like normal people, we went on a hike today, climbed to the freezing Rachel Lake (which had pretty consistent snow cover), had tea, and made haste back down. There was a lot of water everywhere. On the trail it was annoying, but the waterfalls were scenic. And, of course, waterfalls look better in pictures (ironic?), so I took lots.

Here, the trail passed right under one. It was drizzling, and on top of that, there was mist from the fall, so the picture is spotty in places.

And, of course, happy Independence Day. A bit too late for that, though.
